If you’ve ever stared at a blank editor wondering how to map 32 knobs to your synths, your effects, and your whole setup all at once, this one’s for you.

MIDI configuration has always been the part that slows you down right when you want to be making music. You’ve got the gear, you’ve got the ideas, but between the controller and the sound there’s a wall of setup: CC numbers, channel assignments, value ranges, macro stacking. For most people, that means digging through user manuals and MIDI implementation tables for hours before playing a single note.

Vibe is our answer to that. Introduced at Superbooth ’26 and currently in beta, it’s an AI MIDI mapping assistant built directly into the SHIK editor that lets you configure your controller in plain English. It works with all N32B versions and the upcoming S32.

How It Works

You don’t need to know a single CC number or message type. Just type your device name, describe what you want, and Vibe handles the rest. Tell it something like “Map the Filter section of the NTS-1 and the EG Attack of the NTS-1” and it sets them up. Type “@” to pull up your device’s sections and parameters and reference them directly in your message. If Vibe needs clarification, it asks.

Controlling several devices? Load them into the editor, assign each to its own MIDI channel, and map across all of them in one conversation.

Instant Preset Generation

Not sure where to start? Describe your setup and Vibe builds a complete preset with every knob assigned and every macro configured, ready to load onto your controller. Use it as a starting point or as-is.

Smart Suggestions

Tell Vibe your gear, your genre, and how you work, and it suggests mappings that fit your workflow rather than just what’s technically possible. It can also suggest macro ideas and combinations you might not have thought of, and ways to get more out of your gear.

Playing live and need fast control over expressive parameters? Producing in the studio and want everything organized around your mix? The device knowledge base is constantly growing, and Vibe keeps getting better.

Who It’s For

Whether you’re a seasoned producer who wants to move faster or someone new to hardware who’s felt intimidated by all the numbers, Vibe works the same way: tell Vibe what you want and it takes care of the rest.
